Getting to the Isle of Barra Theory Test Centre can be a difficult challenge as it is not located in mainland Scotland.

Here is some travel advice for when you travel to the theory test centre on the Isle of Barra.

Walking: If walking, Castlebay is the town or village you should head towards as this is where the theory test centre is located. If you haven’t got a car and you need to walk around the island, you will need to make sure you leave your property in plenty of time.

By Car: If driving by car, you need to make sure you are able to park in a suitable location without parking restrictions.

By Bus: If you are travelling by bus, there is a nearby bus station situated at the Fire Station. From there, you can walk to the theory test centre for at least 3 minutes.

By Train: Unfortunately, the Isle of Barra does not have a local train station.

Make sure you bring your provisional licence with you to your theory test appointment. Otherwise, you will NOT be able to sit for your theory exam.

Studying and revising for your theory test will prepare you for your theory test. We advise you take the time to study for your theory test as it makes the theory test easier to pass.

1. Have your driving licence information with you
2. An email address to receive a booking confirmation
3. Credit or debit card to pay for your theory test.
