Hereford is a city-based in Herefordshire. Getting to the theory test centre should not be difficult as the theory test centre can be accessed by heading towards the town centre.

Here is some travel advice:

Walking: If you are walking to the theory test centre, head towards the town centre. If you get lost, the Hereford Cathedral is south of the theory test centre.

By Car: If driving, you will need to look for local car parks or nearby streets to park your car. Make sure you are north of the River Wye when driving into Hereford. NCP Car Park Hereford Berrington Street and the West Street Car Parks are the nearest car park you can park your vehicle.

By Bus: If you travel by bus, there is a bus station situated in Maylord Shopping Centre. You can head off from there and walk to the theory test centre.

By Train: The Hereford train station is located northeast of the town. It will take you approximately 10 – 15 mins to walk.

Make sure you bring your provisional licence with you to your theory test appointment. Otherwise, you will NOT be able to sit for your theory exam.

Studying and revising for your theory test will prepare you for your theory test. We advise you take the time to study for your theory test as it makes the theory test easier to pass.

To book your theory test you can visit the DVSA’s website here and book your theory test online 24/7. Alternatively, you can call the DVSA booking phone line 0300 200 1122. When booking your test be sure to:

1. Have your driving licence information with you
2. An email address to receive a booking confirmation
3. Credit or debit card to pay for your theory test.

The pass rate is 51.2% nationally, it is really important that you prepare for your theory test to give you the best chance of a first-time pass.
