The town’s nearest cities include: Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester, and the nearby towns include: Daventry, Kenilworth, Northampton and Lutterworth. With the M1 and M6 nearby, Rugby has good road connections and witnesses increased traffic because of this.

With the new addition of the Rugby Western relief road just of the A428 Lawford Road opening in 2010 – the traffic through the town has somewhat decreased by passing commuters. However- there is still a relatively large amount of traffic throughout the town, so learner drivers no doubt will experience lots of built-up traffic and congestion when learning to drive.

Rugby isn’t an overly large town, and some of the nearby villages such as New Bilton, Overslade and Hillside, still contribute to the town’s overall population. It is, however, the second largest town in Warwickshire. When it comes to how to learn to drive in Rugby – all learners will experience busy roads, dual-carriageways, bus lanes, and multi-lane roundabouts that are in the town.
